Itinerary: Mekong life in depth

Day 1:  Cai Be – Vinh Long – Sa Đec – Long Xuyen.

• 7:30AM : Depart for Mekong Delta.
• 10:00AM : We will arrive at Cai Be boat station and start the boat trip, visit Cai Be floating market, local handicraft workshops. Then, continue the boat trip to Binh Hoa Phuoc Island to visit one of the most ancient houses in Cai Be and enjoy tropical fruits and traditional folk music. Stop at a family  for cooking class and have lunch with the family.
• 2:00PM : After lunch, we take a long boat trip from an island ( near Vinh Long city) to Sa Dec (about 25 kilometers), where we can see the very busy and hard-working life of local people in Mekong Delta.
• 4:30PM : Arrive in Se Dec and visit :
  • A brick kiln making bricks by traditional way. Have a glance at boats carrying rice, rice husk, bricks….
  • Visit a local market selling all kinds of green vegetable, meat, fish, chicken…
  • Visit Huynh Thuy Le’s Ancient House (Lover House).
• 5:30PM : Leave for Long Xuyen.
• 6:30PM : Arrive in Long Xuyen. Check in.

Day 2: Long Xuyen – Sai Gon, or Long Xuyen – Chau Doc, or Long Xuyen – Rach Gia – Phu Quoc Island

• 7:30AM : Start the day with a boat trip to visit local floating market. Visitors have a chance to contact with sellers and taste fruits on their boats.
• Stop over at Ong Ho island for a biking tour along the village to see the life of the countryside and to learn how to make incense sticks,  visit a local house to learn how to do the garden.
• 9:30Am : Go back  the hotel.
• 10:00AM : Our group will be separated:
  • Depart for Chau Doc.
  • Depart for Rach Gia and Phu Quoc island. ( depart at 8:30 AM,  12:00AM arrive in Rach Gia boat station. Leave for Phu Quoc island. 15:30PM  arrive at Phu Quoc.
• Depart for Sai Gon.
